I remember at this time in 2021 I often found myself painting in pastel colors and once summer began I started feeling like I was misrepresenting my feelings and the world around me by not painting with more chroma. Another fun secret about this painting is that the whimsical red line in the center of the piece is actually a piece of red string that is attached to the paper.
